Fabrication

M.M.A., M.I.G., & T.I.G Welding processes are employed in the fabrication of carbon steels, stainless steels and other specialist materials.

Coded Welders

Welders and welding procedures approved BS EN 287/288 and ASME IX can be made available for pressure vessel fabrication.

Laser Cutting

We have long standing arrangements with local specialist, with assistance of CAD technology, components can accurately and quickly drawn for either small or large quantities.

Band Sawing

Horizontal up to 254mm (10”) Dia.

Metal Worker

Kingsland 120 Ton (Punching, notching & cropping)

Guillotining

Pulmax  4.0 Mtr. x 13mm.

Plate Rolling

Morgan  3.0 Mtr. x 15mm (Initial Pinch)

Morgan  2.0 Mtr. x 12mm (Initial Pinch)

Hydraulic Press Brake

Morgan  3.0 Mtr. Bed up to 10mm

Fitting & Sub Assemblies

All types of fitting undertaken. Special purpose machines and assemblies manufactured, assembled and commissioned on site. Outside environmental services catered for by skilled personnel

Lifting Capabilities

Four overhead traveling cranes are available  -  4 x 5 tonnes.  Limited outside erection area available.

N D T

All NDT techniques are available including both Radiography & Magnetic Particle Inspection. This would be carried out by a specialist sub-contractor. Liquid Penetrate Inspection and Hydrostatic Testing can be carried in accordance with relevant National and International Standards.

Coating

Standard and non-standard coating systems are available using modern spray equipment.

Quality Control

SHS Limited Quality Assurance Programme is in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001. It operates independently of the manufacturing function and is supported by controlled documented procedures. Statistical Process Control (SPC) has been installed and currently assists our Quality Department to monitor data and maintains maximum productivity.
